"Covenant Eschatology" is defined by one of its former advocates (Max King) as "that the second coming of Christ, including the establishment of the eternal kingdom, the day of judgment, the end of the world, and the resurrection of the dead occurred with the fall of Judaism in A.D. 70." Advocates of this doctrine claim they believe in the physical, bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ; but the logical end to their doctrine implicitly denies such. In the first letter to the Corinthians, the apostle Paul addresses the resurrection from the dead and its relationship to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Notice what Paul argues in 1 Corinthians 15:12-19. He begins with the premise: "If there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen" (1 Corinthians 15:13). Paul has already proven that Jesus was raised bodily from the dead in the earlier verses, pointing to the over five hundred witnesses who "saw" the physical body of Jesus after He had been raised from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-11). Therefore, it is false to explicitly or implicitly teach that there is no resurrection of the dead.

Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."

For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.

Read MoreWhat is the meaning of Matthew 5:5? Many do not understand what meekness is, nor do they understand the blessing that comes to those who are meek. Meekness is not timidity, weakness, or cowardice. It does not mean that you let everyone walk over you like a welcome mat just whenever they want and however they want. While meekness does involve humility and gentleness, it is more than these two traits.
Read MoreNo. In fact, nobody knows here on this earth when the Lord will return. In Matthew 24:36-39, the Bible states: "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be."

Is it to be buried six feet deep? Is it to be burned and then the ashes placed in an urn? There is nothing within New Testament authority that indicates what to do (John 12:48; Colossians 3:17).
Read MoreThere are some people who are in doctrinal error (known as Covenant Eschatologists) who assert that Daniel 12:2 and Daniel 12:7 support their false idea that the final "resurrection" occurred in A.D. 70. Daniel 12:7 states: "And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream; he raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven and swore by him who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and half a time, and that when the shattering of the power of the holy people comes to an end all these things would be finished."

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”
