Must We Partake of The Lord’s Supper Only In The Evening?

No.

The church is authorized mandatorily to partake of the Lord’s Supper on the first day of the week – the Lord’s Day – until Jesus returns (Acts 2:42; 20:7; Revelation 1:10; 1 Corinthians 11:17-26).

So long as the Lord’s Supper is partaken on the first day of the week, when the church gathers together, the time of day is of no consequence.

Some would argue that we must partake of it in the evening based on the language of Acts 20:7-11. What proves too much proves nothing. This passage does not indicate when the worship began, nor does it indicate emphatically what time of day the Lord’s Supper was to be taken. One is not any more obligated to partake of the Lord’s Supper in the evening ONLY than they are to meet for worship in an upper room ONLY (in a three-story building).
