What Was The Joy That Was Set Before Jesus?

Hebrews 12:1,2 states: "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

When Was The Hour of Crucifixion?

Problem: Some assert there is a discrepancy between the Gospel writers on the hour in which Jesus was crucified. Mark states in Mark 15:25 that it was the third hour while in John 19:14,15, it was the sixth hour.

    Is Jesus Our Brother?

Those who have been born again (John 3:3-5; Galatians 3:26-29) have been born into the family of God (1 John 3:1), the church of Christ. We know that Jesus is not only our King (Matthew 28:18; Revelation 19:16), but when He became human (John 1:1,14), He identified with us so that He serves as Meditator between God and mankind (1 Timothy 2:5). This remarkably shows us the love of God (John 3:16). Hebrews 2:10-12 states: "For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying: ‘I will declare Your name to My brethren; In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You. '" Yes, Jesus is our Brother if we are in the family of God.

    How Can God Die?

The Bible teaches that Jesus is Deity (John 1:1, 14; 8:58) and that Jesus died on the cross (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Philippians 2:4). If Jesus is God, how could God die, especially in light of the fact that God is eternal and unchanging (Psalm 90:2; Malachi 3:6) ? Muslims often will pose this question since they believe there is only one Person that is Divine - Allah (and not three Persons who share the Divine nature). They believe this is a legitimate contradiction of the Christian religion.

What Is The “Doctrine of Christ” In 2 John 9–11?

2 John 1:9-11 states: “Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.”

What Is the Identification of The Rock in Matthew 16:18?

This question comes from the context of Matthew 16:13-20. The Catholic denomination assumes this passage relates to when Peter would become the first pope on whom, they falsely say, the church was built. They assert that Peter is the rock. This cannot be true for the following reasons:
