Article - God Will Be With Us

“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you. So we may boldly say: The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" (Hebrews 13:5-6). With these words the Christian can find great comfort from God. Sometimes, we can feel like we are all alone. Yet, for the child of God this is never the case. Notice how God is with us.

God is with us through his care for us. The Bible says, “Cast all your cares upon the Lord for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7). God has promised us that if we seek first the kingdom, He will provide all of life’s necessities for us (Matthew 6:24-33). Paul said, “My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). God’s providential care for us proves He is with us.

God’s is with us through His Word. The Bible is the word for word Revelation of God and His Salvation to each one of us. The word of God is living and powerful (Hebrews 4:12). The Word of God gives us great comfort and hope (Romans 5:1-4; 2 Corinthians 1:3ff). As one reads the Bible he can see that God has not left us alone. He has given us His soul saving word (James 1:21). I know God is with me because His Word tells me so.

God is with us through His Son. God so loved the word that He gave His only begotten Son to die for our sins (John 3:16). God allowed Jesus to suffer for my sins and for yours (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus was willing to leave Heaven and die for each one of us (Philippians 2:5-11). Is God with us today? Yes He is! He is with us and has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. May we determine to follow God and never leave Him (Matthew 7:21).
