Our History
Started on June 16, 1996, The Gospel of Christ (TGOC) is an evangelistic effort overseen by the elders of the Red Hill church of Christ in Manchester, Tennessee. The work is fully supported worldwide by both congregations and individual members of the churches of Christ. TGOC’s goal is to take the whole gospel to the whole world. It is not just our motto – it is our mission!
In a world where many have compromised the truth and are preaching “ ‘Peace, peace’! When there is no peace”, (Jeremiah 6:14), our program seeks to teach and preach the whole counsel of God – regardless of the consequence (Acts 20:27; Galatians 4:16).
Our Mission
The Gospel of Christ (TGOC) program is an ongoing evangelistic effort overseen by the elders of the Red Hill church of Christ in Manchester, Tennessee. This work consists of faithful Christians who join their talents and efforts together In seeking and saving the lost (including personal evangelism, TV, Radio, Internet, FREE media, Bible Class Curricula, etc.). The primary purpose and goal of TGOC is to take the whole Gospel to the whole world in our generation while at the same time putting a special emphasis on strengthening the Lord’s church in the United States (Mark 16:15-16; Acts 20:20; 14:21-22; Col. 1:23).
We want others to know we are not interested in hiding the truth, compromising the truth, or apologizing for the truth. We speak the truth (Gal. 4:16) in love (Eph. 4:15) We do this because eternal, precious souls are at stake and true love demands that we do whatever it takes scripturally to give men the opportunity to hear the truth and obey God (Eph. 4:15; Acts 20:27; 1 Peter 4:11; 2 Thess. 1:7-9). We also realize that the Lord’s church is in grave danger in the United States and we must get back to a more focused work here at home (not just overseas). Therefore, our work also includes evangelism in the United States and reaching the lost in their neighborhoods.
